Host Agreement

This agreement applies when you list a charger or outlet on Chargetide. It adds to the Terms of Service; if they conflict, this agreement controls for Hosts.

1. What you may list

• You own the property or have the owner's, landlord's, or HOA's permission to let others park and charge there.
• The charger or outlet is installed to code, in good working order, and rated for the use you describe (for example, a NEMA 14-50 on a dedicated circuit with the correct breaker).
• Your listing is accurate: connector type, power, parking situation, hours, price, and access instructions.

2. Availability and bookings

• Keep your availability current. A confirmed booking is a commitment: the Driver has paid and is planning their night around it.
• If you must cancel, do it in the app as early as possible. The Driver is refunded in full. Frequent cancellations, or not being available when a Driver arrives, may lead to your listing being paused.
• You can pause your listing or change hours and price at any time; existing bookings keep the price they were booked at.

3. Price, fees, and payouts

• You set the hourly price. Our suggested price is an estimate based on your state's electricity rate plus a margin; you are responsible for making sure your price covers your costs.
• Drivers pay your price plus a 10% service fee. You receive your price less a 10% host fee, paid to the bank account you connect through Stripe after each completed session. If a Driver no-shows, you are still paid.
• Payouts require completing Stripe's onboarding. Earnings accrue until you do and are released when onboarding completes.
• You are responsible for taxes on your earnings. Stripe issues the applicable tax form when required.

4. Guests and access

• Your address and instructions are shown to a Driver only after they book. Provide clear instructions so a stranger can find the spot and plug in at night without contacting you.
• You can see the Driver's name, plate, rating, and check-in status. Do not share their information beyond what is needed for the session.
• You may not refuse or cancel a booking based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other protected characteristic.

5. Electricity and equipment

• You pay for the electricity delivered; that is what the price is for.
• You are responsible for maintaining your equipment and disclosing limits (for example, a shared circuit or a charger that only delivers 5 kW).
• Stop offering the listing and pause it if the equipment develops a fault. Report any incident involving your equipment within 24 hours.

6. Damage and incidents

• Report property damage from the booking within 24 hours, with photos. We will review, may refund or charge the Driver, and may suspend accounts, but [Your company legal name, LLC] does not insure your property and is not liable for damage caused by Drivers.
• Check that your homeowner's or renter's policy covers guests using your driveway. Many hosts choose to list an outlet in a spot they would be comfortable letting a neighbor park in regardless.

7. Off-platform dealing

Bookings made through Chargetide must be paid through Chargetide. Do not use the Service to find Drivers and then arrange sessions outside it. That is what keeps you paid, keeps the Driver's card on the hook for no-shows, and keeps our review process available to you.

8. Ending this agreement

Pause or delete your listing at any time. We may pause or remove a listing that violates this agreement, gets repeated complaints, or creates a safety risk. Bookings already in progress finish under this agreement.
